5 Easy Pomegranate Recipe Ideas for Samhain and Yule

Celebrations, Samhain, Yule / Wednesday, September 26th, 2018

Does anyone else go ga-ga for pomegranates? I can’t wait until they arrive at the grocery store every year! Did you know they will store in the crisper of your refrigerator for months? Yep, one of my veggie bins gets emptied every year when I find a good sale on these gorgeous edible garnets. It’s a little witchy- Samhain indulgence of mine that really brings me joy.

If you start to get tired of eating your pomegranate arils by the spoonful (are you even human?!), there are plenty of other ways to enjoy them. Here are some fantastic pomegranate recipes I found to consider for indulging in some healthy seasonal treats this fall and winter. They are perfect for any Samhain and Yule get-togethers or feasting on your social calendar.

Turmeric Quinoa with Pomegranates and Walnuts

A savory recipe that I can’t wait to make for dinner. Seriously, what’s not to love? Turmeric quinoa is amazing on it’s own, but add pomegranates and I’m pretty sure this is going to be a new favorite card in my recipe box.

You can find the recipe at Wendy Polisi’s blog.

Winter Fruit Salad

When the citrus starts to arrive, it will be time to try this amazing fruit salad. It has oranges, kiwis, and pomegranates – pretty simple, and it’s making my mouth water.

Pomegranate and Dark Chocolate Bites

In the mood for something a little more decadent? These dark chocolate treats look super simple to make. They only call for dark chocolate, a little sea salt, and – you guessed it- pomegranate. Pretty guilt free way to enjoy a little treat, if you ask me.
